Queens Council on the Arts and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) are teaming up for the second Emerging Artist Business Prize.

This is a scholarship opportunity for High School to Art School students and alumni. The contest will award a total of $10,000 to seven emerging artists.

LG Household and Health Care America Inc (LGHHAI), a large and reputable manufacturer based in South Korea, is sponsoring the scholarship competition. As such, this competition aims to provide a platform for the best and brightest young artists, as well as help LGHHAI grow their brand with visually striking artwork.

LGHHAI manages a variety of brands including Whoo, OHUI, Sum, belif, VDL and THEFACESHOP, which are their line of skincare and cosmetic products for both women and men. For this contest, artists are asked to submit their designs to improve LGHHAI’s marketing materials.

Open to all High School to Art School students and alumni, the winner of the competition will receive $3,000 in scholarship funds. Second place will receive a $2,000 prize, and five finalists will be awarded $1,000 each.

Design submissions are due on November 27th at 11:59pm. The award ceremony will take place at Queens Council on the Arts, located at 28-18 Steinway Street, Astoria, NY 11103 on Wednesday, December 12th from 6 – 8pm. All interested parties are invited to attend.
